Solstice Minerals appoints Nick Castleden as CEO & Managing Director

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Solstice Minerals Limited introduced the appointment of extremely skilled mining executive Mr Nick Castleden because the Company’s CEO & Managing Director.

Nick Castleden is a geologist with over 25 years of expertise within the mineral exploration and development industry. He has labored with revered Australian mining companies together with Mt Isa Mines, Perilya Mines, MPI Mines, and LionOre in various exploration, project generation and administration capacities and has had operational expertise in Africa, North and South America and throughout Australia, in addition to holding advisory roles in Perth-based capital funding firms.

Mr Castleden has particular expertise in Western Australian gold, nickel and base metal exploration and has participated within the invention and delineation of new gold and nickel sulphide deposits which have made it through feasibility to profitable mining. More recently, he was the Managing Director of Apollo Consolidated Ltd till late 2021, when it was acquired by Ramelius Resources.

Mr Castleden holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Western Australia. The Board sees Mr Castleden as an excellent match for Solstice’s exploration portfolio. He brings a strong mixture of high-level technical expertise and commercial acumen.

Mr Castleden will commence within the second half of January 2023 at which time present Executive Director, Mr Alastair Morrison will step again to a non-executive director role.
