PARIS, FRANCE: Voltalia, an worldwide participant in renewable energies, has signed a contract with Renault Group, which is the largest renewable electrical energy present contract ever signed in France.

With its alliance with Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors, and its distinctive experience in electrification, Renault Group depends on the complementarity of its four manufacturers – Renault – Dacia – Alpine and Mobilize – and offers sustainable and innovative mobility options to its customers.
The contract covers a complete capability of 350 megawatts, representing the manufacturing of approximately 500 gigawatt hours per year. With a duration of 15 years, that’s an unprecedented dedication in France in phrases of power.
Committed to the energy transition for greater than 10 years, Renault Group has introduced its intention to speed up the decarbonisation of its plants in France.
The settlement with Voltalia will allow Renault Group to cowl as much as 50% of the electrical energy consumption of the manufacturer’s manufacturing actions in France in 2027, together with the electrical energy consumption of Cléon, in addition to all of the sustainable electrical energy wants of the ElectriCity hub, Europe’s largest and best electrical vehicle manufacturing centre, whose ambition is to produce 500,000 vehicles per year by 2025.
With its Renaulution strategic plan, Renault Group confirms its dedication to achieving net zero carbon emissions from its ElectriCity hub plants in France by 2025, in Europe by 2030 and worldwide by 2050.
Voltalia will set up 100 megawatts of photovoltaic panels at its websites in France beginning in 2025. The capability made available to Renault by Voltalia will increase steadily over the next years, reaching a complete of 350 megawatts by 2027.
